01 / THE DECISION

Start with how the work gets done.

Evaluate Suite when your applications or collaborators need cloud files through a filesystem. Choose Managed if Suite should manage the storage. Explore S3 Native when you need filesystem access to supported storage in your own cloud account.

Keep native object access for compatible services, and add a Suite drive wherever people or applications need file paths. Build around the interface that helps each tool do its best work.

Compare the interfaces

Suite requires an internet connection, even with cached content. A full-input task still needs its required bytes. Evaluate first useful work and verified completion as separate outcomes.

03 / THE REAL-WORK TEST

These six checks make a pilot easier to compare and easier to hand off. Agree on the outcome with your team before starting.

  1. Choose one real assignment

    Name the input, application and output that would make the pilot useful. Use an approved, representative working set.

  2. Keep a usable baseline

    Record the current workflow and a return path. Compare the same task and coverage under both conditions.

  3. Verify the environment

    Confirm the supported client, operating system, intended identity, drive permissions and available local cache space.

  4. Separate first and repeated use

    Record preparation, first useful work and total completion. Document cache state and the connection for each run.

  5. Verify the output

    Open the result in its intended downstream tool. For writes, check upload completion and the intended destination.

  6. Make an adoption decision

    Compare observed delays, operating costs and collaboration needs. Expand only after the task and return path work.
