Creative projects across locations
Give authorized collaborators a shared filesystem for media and project files. Evaluate the applications, file formats and collaboration behavior your team uses.
Bring large files and distributed collaborators into one workflow. Suite manages the storage; your team works through a familiar drive.
Suite Managed brings your team’s cloud files into a shared drive, with storage managed by Suite. Open files in familiar applications, stream requested data and keep active work in a local cache. Self-service signup makes it a straightforward place to start.
When the files are large and the team is distributed, how you reach the work matters.
Give authorized collaborators a shared filesystem for media and project files. Evaluate the applications, file formats and collaboration behavior your team uses.
Work through a mounted path instead of rebuilding a desktop workflow around an object API. Use a supported Suite client on each host that needs filesystem access.
Start with a representative working set and a few collaborators. Measure the time to open and use your files, then expand once the workflow meets your needs.
Suite connects the storage to your applications through its filesystem.
Install the official client for your host, sign in and mount the drive your team authorizes. A non-admin user needs explicit access to the relevant folders.
Suite streams the file data your applications request and keeps a local working cache. This helps active work start without a full-library download. Full-input processing still reads all data required by the task.
Copying a file into the mounted drive starts an upload workflow. Use Suite’s status and error information to confirm cloud upload completion before disconnecting.
Set up the team around the work people need to do.
Identify the people responsible for billing, team administration and the initial project. Admin access is broad, so use it where that responsibility is needed.
Use file and folder permissions for non-admin users. Read-only permissions suit viewers and workflows that should not change the source files.
Use a supported operating system, a suitable SSD cache and a reliable connection. Pre-cache active files when it helps the working set; an internet connection is still required.
Managed and S3 Native serve different storage requirements.
Use the self-service path when you want Suite to manage the underlying storage. Managed starts at 1 TB, with five users included and storage billed in 1 TB increments.
Start with ManagedEvaluate Enterprise with S3 Native when you need filesystem access over supported storage you own. It requires at least 20 TB of active storage, including for agent customers.
Explore S3 NativeNo. Suite Managed uses storage managed by Suite. S3 Native is the separate path for supported storage your organization owns.
A team administrator can invite collaborators and assign access. Non-admin users need permissions for the files or folders they should see.
Agents can help evaluate Managed and assist an authorized user through the supported signup and client setup flow. A compatible host and authenticated account are still required. Use the documented browser signup and client setup steps for account creation and first access.
No. Test your real applications, representative files, connection, cache and permissions. Use the results to decide whether the setup meets your needs.
